He
has a Cand.Agric, from the Norwegian Agriculture
University at Ås. At Jordforsk, he is Research
Director for the department of Land Resources. He
has 15 years of experience with a wide range of
tasks related to agriculture, environment and
diffuse pollution sources, in particular related to
agro-hydrology, soil erosion, and nitrogen and
phosphorus transformation processes in soils. He has
been the manager of several research projects in the
Baltic Sea Region on diffuse source pollution. He
has been adviser for the Norwegian Ministry of
Agriculture at a number of meetings within OSPAR;
HELCOM and OECD, and he is frequently used for
policy advice in Norway on agro-environmental issues.
