He
holds a PhD in hydrology. He is a soil hydrologist
with experience in the field scale modelling of
agrochemical and water transfer in the unsaturated
and saturated zones, also through coupling of
distributed models and GIS. His main research areas
concern the development of modelling tools for
predicting the transformation and transport of
non-point source pollutants at the watershed scale.
His work is also focusing on the parameterisation of
hydrological models at different spatial scale with
a special emphasis on the upscaling and downscaling
processes.
